The Zambia Flying Doctor Service (ZFDS) today held an induction workshop for newly recruited medical volunteers joining the Service.

The induction was led by ZFDS management, headed by Acting Director Human Capital Development and Administration , Mrs. Rachel Hanyimbo Imasiku, and aimed at orienting the volunteers on their roles, responsibilities, and the organization’s expectations.

The volunteers comprised registered nurses, midwives, and pharmaceutical technologists who will support ZFDS’s life-saving medical operations across the country and in their static centers.

Director of Legal Services and Corporate Affairs, Mrs Luyando Mbilika Shimalukwe, addressed the volunteers and emphasized the importance of maintaining professionalism and upholding ethical standards at all times.

The Director of Finance Services, Mr. Mulenga Zulu, highlighted the importance of effective financial management in promoting prudent resource management among the volunteers.

Other members of management present at the induction included Director of Aviation, Col. Lasford Manchisi; Senior Pilot, Col. Zachariah Mbewe; Chief Human Resource Officer/Acting Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Edward Msoni; Chief Nursing Officer ,Sr Mable Mwenda, Human Resource Officers Ms. Doris Chama, Ms. Nancy Masumba, Ms. Chipaka Chisanga and Information Communication Technology Manager, Mr. Aaron Mkandawire.
