Today, 17th May 2026, the Zambia Flying Doctor Service (ZFDS), through its partnership with the Workers’ Compensation Fund Control Board under the existing MOU, successfully repatriated a Workers Compensation beneficiary from Lusaka International Hospital of Zambia back to Livingstone, Southern Province, following his discharge.

The mission was carried out by ZFDS Deputy Director Aviation Services Patrick Kawanu alongside Co-Pilot Elvis Kite.

This successful mission highlights the strong collaboration between ZFDS and the Workers’ Compensation Fund Control Board in ensuring Zambians, regardless of location, continue to access safe and timely healthcare transportation services.

Together, the two institutions continue to demonstrate that collaboration strengthens service delivery and places the wellbeing of the client at the centre of every operation, ensuring that people come first while restoring hope to families across the nation.
